MEET THE MUSICIAN

Lance Luke

Lance started playing bass in high school with two different music groups, a dance band, and an acoustic guitar group. He continued playing in different groups through the years, such as Blue Sky, Pegasus, Mauka Kane, Manoa Jazz Trio, and Heartsong. Later he became a guitar instructor and studio musician. After 45 years he finally recorded his first CD of original music, Alewa Blue Sky Music. His CD was released in 2019 at a sold-out concert. In addition to solo performances, Lance plays in a duo, a trio, and a seven-piece convention band.

CURRENTLY PERFORMING: KOLEA

Kolea, Gail Mack (vocals) and Lance Luke (guitar, bass, vocals), have been playing music together in various music groups since 2000. Now performing as a duo, Lance's jazz virtuoso guitar styling and Gail's mellow and soothing vocals focus on jazz standards and popular songs that span the 40's to the present.

Keith started playing bass for the Highlands Intermediate School concert and stage bands, where he learned to read music from Mr. Leong. He continued playing in the Pearl City High School band. In addition to Kolea, he's a member of the Thursday Night Big Band.
